Study of water treatment plant from surface source
Inwald, Petr ; Látal,, Milan (referee) ; Biela, Renata (advisor)
The first part of the thesis deals with water sources and methods of drinkable water treatment. This section describes the technologies used for two-stage water treatment from a surface source. The second part deals with study of the new drinking water treatment plant from a surface source for Adamov town. The work documents the current state of the existing water treatment plant and describes used technology with a design flow Q = 30 l s-1. In the next part of thesis is design of two variations of new technological line with a design flow Q = 10 l s-1. The first variation is one-stage water treatment with pressure filters as the main separation stage. Two-stage water treatment is designed for the second variation, in which the first stage of separation are clarifiers and the second stage are pressure filters. Thesis includes drawing documentation of designed pressure filters and clarifiers, technological and height scheme of both variations.
Design of water treatment plant from surface source
Inwald, Petr ; Kučera, Tomáš (referee) ; Biela, Renata (advisor)
In the beginning, the thesis deals with water sources and water treatment in general. The following describes in more detail the possibilities of two-stage treatment of water from a surface source, including individual devices that are currently used in water treatment industry. Next part of the thesis is a practical part where the main technological elements of the treatment plant are designed, namely two rectangular settling tanks with horizontal flow and three open european rapid filters for the specified design flow Q = 40 l/s. The work also includes the drawing documentation of both calculated devices and a drawing of the technological scheme of the water treatment plant, which describes the overall arrangement of the individual facilities at the water treatment plant.
Design of A Water Treatment Plant from A Surface Source
Mečíř, Filip ; Adler, Pavel (referee) ; Kučera, Tomáš (advisor)
The first part of this thesis briefly describes methods of potable water treatment. This part of the thesis is mainly devoted to processes of coagulation, flotation, membrane filtration and adsorption. The second part concerns water quality in the source and laboratory experiments for verification of water treatment procedures for the given surface water source. Used methods include jar tests for coagulation, filtration on laboratory scale membrane unit and batch experiments for granular active charcoal. The third part describes current state of the building in which the future water treatment plant should be located. The proposed water source is the water reservoir Nové Mlýny I. The final part deals with the design of three stage water plant with the required capacity of 7,4 l·s-1. Selected parts of the building permit documentation are part of this thesis.
